+1. Licence. Subject to this agreement, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable,
+   revocable licence to install and use FlowState (the "Software") on computers you own or
+   control, for your own personal, academic or internal business purposes.
+
+2. Restrictions. Unless you have written permission from the copyright holder, you may not:
+   (a) copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or otherwise make the Software
+       available to third parties, except copies made for your own backup;
+   (b) modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works of the Software;
+   (c) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent
+       applicable law expressly permits this despite this limitation;
+   (d) remove or alter any copyright notices or other proprietary notices in the Software.
+
+3. Ownership. The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights, title and interest in the
+   Software remain with the copyright holder. You keep ownership of the project files and
+   results you create with the Software.
+
+4. Third-party components. The Software includes open-source components that remain under
+   their own licences. Those licences take precedence for those components.
+
+5. No warranty. The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or
+   implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and
+   non-infringement. Results produced by the Software are engineering estimates. You must
+   verify them independently before relying on them for design, investment, regulatory or
+   safety decisions.
+
+6. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the copyright holder is
+   not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or
+   for any loss of profits, data or business, arising from the use of or inability to use
+   the Software.
+
+7. Termination. This licence ends automatically if you breach any of its terms. When it
+   ends, you must stop using the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.

+8. Governing law. This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

+# FlowState Process Studio: downloads
+
+FlowState is a desktop process simulator for batch and continuous plants. It covers material and energy balances, recipe scheduling, equipment sizing, techno-economic analysis and environmental assessment.
+

+## Latest release
+
+Get the installer for your platform from the **[latest release](https://gitea.yaylali.uk/kemal/flowstate-releases/releases/latest)**.

+**Windows:** the installers are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn on first run. Choose **More info → Run anyway**.

+**Microsoft Store:** FlowState is also available as *FlowState Process Studio*.
+
+## Verify a download
+
+Each release includes `SHA256SUMS-<version>.txt`.
+
+- **Windows (PowerShell):** `Get-FileHash .\FlowState-<version>-windows-x64-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256`
+- **macOS:** `shasum -a 256 FlowState-<version>-macos-universal.dmg`
+- **Linux:** `sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS-<version>.txt --ignore-missing`
